What you can expect from this 3 Day Linyanti Classic Fly-In Safari
Famous for its African Elephants - huge herds congregate in Duma Tau Safari Camp along the waterways and lagoons.
Guides and vehicles are based at your camps at which you will be staying. A real advantage here is that your resident guide should have intimate knowledge of the area as they are usually based in the same camp for the season. This type of safari is very popular in Botswana and is taken up by many travellers.
Time that would normally be spent on the road driving between parks and reserves may instead be spent game viewing – the primary reason why most people travel to Africa in the first place !
The camp is close to the source of the Savuti Channel as well as the Linyanti water ways.

Elephants are one of the area's biggest attractions, especially in the dry winter months, along with the Red Lechwe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Sable, Roan, Eland, Giraffe, Baboon, Monkey, Warthog, Crocodile and Buffalo. Then there are the predators - Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena - and the nocturnal animals – Bushbabies, Spring Hare, Aardwolf, Serval, Genet, Pangolin - and the smaller predators. Birding is great here - from the Okavango 'specials', such as Slaty Egret, Whiterumped Babblers and Wattled Cranes, to the bushveld species. |
